I am a very experienced Acupuncturist and Massage therapist…I have recently completed a contract working on a Princess Cruise ship for Steiner Transocean and am very interested in your position.
I have a passion for the well being of people. I have spent the last eight years developing this passion overseas working for Steiner Transocean and running my own business/clinical practice in Victoria, Australia.
Steiner Transocean has given me skills to perform at an elite level: As an Acupuncturist /massage therapist I would speak publicly (on the topics of Acupuncture and Massage) before the ‘Port and Shopping show’ to an audience of 400. I would also give an Intro to Acupuncture lecture to sixty people at least twice a week. It was also required that I was interviewed by the cruise director for the Cruise television two times a week to promote all spa treatments and the signature column of Acupuncture.
Steiner gives ongoing, comprehensive training: in retail, in the treatment of guests in a five star environment and the recommendation of products to meet client needs. As part of our role we were required to meet targets each cruise. As a highly motivated person I often met my target and beyond…especially for seven day cruises. I consistently generated high levels of ‘revenue’ and ‘ratings’ for treatments performed and consistently appeared in the top ten of all Acupuncturists currently on Steiner ships.
In my role of running my own clinical practice on land and on ships I: Diagnose and treat disease, manage patient care and form treatment plans. In every instance I must ensure professional and optimal health care services. I am able to guide and manage patients and quickly establish rapport. This ability to establish rapport easily coupled with a history of waitressing in settings such as ‘The Melbourne Club’ on Collins street or ‘Government house’ have enabled me to ensure optimum guest service at an ‘elite’ level.
The very nature of my work as a Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioner means that I am continually problem solving. I must obtain clinical results and resolve patient problems efficiently.
I have regularly attended seminars and courses to update my skills and learn of the new developments within my industry, along with researching new products. I am always striving to maintain a comprehensive understanding of the ‘wellness industry’ and ‘fitness.’
