Cairns Massage has provider status for massage. This means we have our diplomas of remedial massage and have provider status for our massage.
This means we have numbers that we put on our receipts that allow you to claim your treatments back from you health fund / health insurance.
This means that your massage ends up being more therapeutic and also you receive a rebate or help from your insurance company to have subsequent visits with financial reimbursement from your health fund.
This means that this insures that the massage therapist is highly qualified, you receive proper consultation process, you may have homework to help improve your condition. You will also be more likely to and able to return for subsequent massage visits.
Remedial Massage is still covered by private health insurance here in Australia. This remains on the list of services covered by private health insurance companies – it remains that you can still claim a remedial massage under you health insurane….nothing has changed.
Tanya Galvin – has provider status for both Acupuncture and Massage. This means you can use your private health insurance for two different modalities with her. Both of these modalities are still covered by your private health insurance.
The receipt issued is how you can make your claim and receive your money back from the private health insurance companies. It is your responsibility to keep these receipts. It is advised that you put the claim in immediately by uploading the receipt directly onto the private health insurance companies app directly after the appointment so that you ensure that the claim is submitted and that the receipt has been put through.
It will cost $50.00 for any receipt that you loose if you need us to re write a health fund claimable receipt.
